Boating on Lake Powell!

Picture the Grand Canyon; halfway-filled with water, & there you have it!

I went to Oche Rios in Jamaica and had a fantastic time. The beaches are heaven, the people are so friendly. You’d have a blast!

Cyprus: If you are into sun, sea, sand, friendly folks, foods with the freshest ingredients, history and culture.

I had the best holiday visiting Northeast England from the US.

It was like traveling to somewhere in another dimension. Everything was NEARLY familiar..the money, the language, driving…except it was all different. I found fantastic amusement in everything just being a small off of what I was used to. My daughter and I rented a car…she said, we better get the car that has plastic seat covers. I said, wha?! She said, “yeah, ’cause we’re gonna be peeing our pants driving on the ‘incorrect’ side of the road (plus sitting on the right with the manual gear shift on the left). She was right, we nearly peed – but it was from laughing, not being frightened. She did all the driving because although I’m a fantastic driver including driving a manual transmission…being right-handed, I can’t operate my left hand! And then there were roundabouts!! It was all fantastic fun. Can’t wait to do it again.

Even walking down the street with people coming toward me was awkward. I didn’t realize that even while walking we (Americans) automatically bear right…Brits bear left…that makes for lots of walking collisions..and lots of pardon me’s!
