Novotel Benoa Bali, Indonesia

The first Accor hotel in Asia to achieve Green Globe accreditation earlier this year, the Novotel Benoa Bali features traditional Balinese buildings crafted from recycled materials and unctit stone. Although the property is ringed by lagoons and landscaped pools, the hotel is committed to conservation, planting one tree for every 10 re-used towels, and collecting funds to plant some 1,763 trees in Central Java in 2008 (JL. Pratania, Tanjung Benoa, Nusa Dua, Bali; 62-361/772-239; novotelbenoabali.com; doubles from US$150).
