I have a question, the guitarist (in the green/teal colored suit) when he meets up with Madonna in 2:28….is he REALLY playing the guitar? Or just “play-syncing” and being used as eye candy?

Because I noticed there was NO wire connecting his guitar to the sound boards. I know that wireless microphones were used in the 70s, but was this wireless technology used in instruments? Especially in the 80s??
