How long does it take to process a holiday work visa to Australia?

Plotting on going down to AUS in January or February and live with my cousin while doing some sort of work while seeing the country. How long does it take to process a holiday work visa?

It can take 8 weeks or longer.

It must be applied for from outside Australia.

You must meet a range of conditions.

It’s hard to answer visa questions accurately without knowing what country you’re from, but Work and Holiday visas from the USA usually take no more than a few hours if you apply online at the Australian government immigration website and up to a week if you apply on paper:
http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/working-holiday/

You must enter Australia within 3 months of the visa grant date.

Mate, I believe Ozmaniac is incorrect, going by experience.
I have yet to find any Govt entity that will process anything at all in a few hours.Let alone a foreign enquiry of any kind.
Suggest you go to our Immigration website where you will get–facts.
